THE WORLD’S economic landscape is changing. Every year, young people are learning more about new sustainable practices and options in their classroom studies. In short order, they will be leading the way for all of us as we head into an unpredictable future. Any way one chooses to look at it, the dynamic of how we live our daily lives is evolving. With that in mind, the This Really Old House Goes Green (TROHGG) project is playing a leadership role in providing a detailed example of how a green reno can fit into any forward-thinking lifestyle decision. The foundation is in place. Now we need more like-minded individuals and businesses to share the vision … and move ahead.

Why? Well, we feel testimonials from our existing team members, featured below, pretty well sum that up.

HAVING BEEN involved with energy-efficient building practices since the 1980s, joining the TROHGG team was of immediate interest to help expand design ideas for green, sustainable energy-efficient buildings and retrofits. The TROHGG project also introduced us to others following the same path, and has increased our ability to provide clients with more efficient ‘green’ construction project choices, products and consultants.”

WE ARE happy to be members of the TROHGG team to get involved with sustainable initiatives on a more local level. Our goal in working with TROHGG is to communicate the value of thinking green. What better way than to show practical tips, processes and resources for the local homeowner?”

WE FOUND that the TROHGG project is an interesting opportunity to define what a practical, sustainable renovation/makeover could be. This project has raised our local profile and has given us good quality informational electronic and
print material which highlights our abilities and which we can use to inform potential clients.”

WE DO everything we can to make our little stewardship of property as self-sufficient as possible. Meeting like-minded and motivated persons has enriched our lives and our home and garden.
Working together and sharing information is the only way to make our community first class and truly ‘green.’ TROHGG brings us together!”

AS ONE of the first organizations to jump on board the TROHGG team, the Habitat ReStore has been able to increase awareness of the recycle, reduce, reuse message that is the core of the ReStore philosophy. The weekly installments in the Expositor and the exposure through social media has provided promotional opportunities to better educate the community about what the ReStore has to offer and how we support Habitat Brant.”

AS AGENTS of change, we at ProQuip International feel it is important to be a member of the local TROHGG team in order to raise the consciousness at a local level that there are technologies and solutions that can be seamlessly adopted in order to make the world a better place.
Our involvement in TROHGG has allowed us to introduce a local company, focused on renewable products and renewable projects, which is finding success on a global scale.
TROHGG has allowed us to demonstrate these technologies locally … after all, we always believe that change begins at home.”
Sam Tavernese
President / PQI Canada Limited

WE ARE a big supporter of community events that help make our lives better.TROHGG is one more example of this. We often have people tell us that they read the article that was written about us for TROHGG and get very positive comments about what we are doing and the up-and-coming technology changes. This is an excellent way to show people that change is achievable to better our environment.”
